Matter’s Participation in the Data Privacy Framework Program
Matter is proud to be an active participant in the Data Privacy Framework (DPF) Program, a critical mechanism for the secure transfer of personal data between the U.S. and other participating countries, including the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. Matter complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF), the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF) as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce. The DPF, which replaced the Privacy Shield Framework, upholds rigorous data protection standards, ensuring that personal data transferred across borders is handled with care and in full compliance with international regulations.
Highlights of DPF compliance:
- Certified and Compliant Transfers: Matter’s certification ensures that personal data is securely transferred in line with the highest international privacy standards.
- Strong Privacy Protections: We follow robust practices to safeguard personal data, maintaining transparency and accountability throughout our data handling processes.
- Dispute Resolution: Matter participates in third-party dispute resolution programs to address any concerns related to privacy or data handling under the DPF, available to individuals in the EU, the UK, and Switzerland.
Matter’s DPF participation ensures secure, compliant data transfers across borders, providing peace of mind for organizations operating in the global marketplace. Here is PDF documentation confirming Certification, Participation, Dispute Resolution, etc.
