Hi there. Sam from Matter here. And in this video, we're gonna talk about analytics. More specifically, we're gonna look at manager analytics, analytical filtering, analytical report exporting, and much more. Let's jump in. First off, accessing analytics is going to be in the web app. It will be an admin only feature by default under analytics. And in the dashboard, you can see high level stats around your team participation, recognition, etcetera.
Next, let's talk about manager analytics. So to empower managers with analytics for their team, you're going to want to go into settings, under member and group management, click on Groups, and here's where you can create groups around different divisions, departments, teams, etcetera. Simply click Create Group, write in the name of a group, assign a group manager or managers. These are people who have access to the analytics for this group of users.
Please note they do not need to be a Matter admin to access analytics for this team. So let's say Sofia is not a Matter admin, but a marketing department admin, and then you can add in members here or subgroups and simply hit save. If you have a bulk, a big team, we'd recommend going in and bulk adding members by email. You can do this with either a comma or a space separated list and hit Add Members.
For the sake of this demo, we're gonna use the sales department here. So you can see there's seven members in here, and then Sofia would have that group manager access. Now as an admin, it's gonna look a little bit different versus Sofia's. So for Sofia, when she goes into the web app, you're gonna... She's gonna see manager here as well as analytics for that sales department, so specific group. Additionally, group managers are gonna have access to data for that group for Pulse surveys as well and regular surveys. Great, so that's analytics for managers. Next, we're going to look at analytical filtering.
So you can filter based on different groups, and you can also filter based on user segments such as gender, hire date, etcetera. To create those segments, you're going to go into settings. Under data and insights, you'll have properties. There'll be some default properties. Additionally, you can create your own property. Write in a name, select a property type, add in values. Here's an example of one I created for work location. And then you can go ahead and add in the data for these member properties by going into settings, members, bulk update member properties, download the Excel file, add in the values, and upload it.
Those properties will get added into each member respectively. So if I go into members, I go into edit, I can see those member properties have been added to my profile. And then to create the segment, go back into settings, go into segments, and here's where you can create a segment. Essentially you can choose a property, you can choose a condition, and you can choose a value. And it will show you how many potential users that you have within that segment. Let's say take a look at this. There we go. So you can see a preview of the member count.
Write the name and hit Create Segment. And then these segments will be appearing directly in the filters here. Matter also is able to integrate with over 200 HRIS platforms in which we pull in fields such as date of birth, hire date. We can also pull in custom fields which you can map to member properties, right? So I can pull in, say, T-shirt size from BambooHR and then map that into user segment automatically, or I can do group mappings as well. So if I have the department or division there, it will automatically update every 24 hours that user group or that member property. So you can see that HR department and finance department are synced with the HRIS. So we do give you that option as well.
Please note you'll need to contact a Matter representative for help with the HRIS integration. Lastly, we're gonna talk about analytical exports. So back into analytics, you can do a custom date range, you can add on filters, and you can click Download Report. When you download this report, it's gonna give you an Excel file. That file will be segmented based on the date range and the filters that you select. You'll have more insights, such as team level statistics around coins, kudos, and top givers and receivers, a list of each team member and their activity on the platform, good for identifying who's not engaged, a list of all the kudos sent over time, including the private ones, a list of coins added on to kudos, as well as a breakdown of kudos types. This is great for company values, showing you which values are resonating with people and which ones need work. Additionally, these analytic filters do apply to reward reporting as well.
So you can go ahead and do the date range, apply filters, download the report. And in here, you're gonna get a breakdown of coins, coin allowances, redeemed, etcetera, as well as a list of all the rewards and the transaction ledger funding and credits and debits if you use the rewards prepay feature. That's pretty much analytics with Matter. If you have any questions, feel free to message us at hello@matterapp.com, and we'd be more than happy to help. Thanks, and bye for now.
