How does Matter get everyone’s dates?
Three ways, and you can mix them: Matter asks members directly (which is how most birthdays get added), you upload an Excel file (usually for work anniversaries), or you sync an HRIS, with over 200 platforms supported.
What does a celebration look like in the channel?
A card posted by Matter on the day, naming the person and the milestone, that teammates can react to and reply to in the channel they already use. Coins can be attached to it automatically.
Can people keep their birthday private?
Members add their own dates, so anyone who would rather not be celebrated simply does not add one, and admins can leave a person out of an upload or sync.
Do we have to give coins with every celebration?
No. Coins are optional and set per celebration type, so you can run birthdays and anniversaries as messages only, or attach a fixed reward to either.
Which plan includes celebrations?
