What is Matter recognition?
Recognition on Matter is peer-to-peer appreciation that happens inside Slack or Microsoft Teams. People send kudos tied to your company values, Matter runs a weekly Feedback Friday prompt, celebrates birthdays and work anniversaries, runs challenges, and reports on all of it, without anyone opening a separate tool.
How is Feedback Friday related to Matter coins?
They are separate features that work together. Feedback Friday is the weekly prompt that gets people recognizing each other; coins are the optional reward attached to that recognition, redeemable for gift cards, donations and custom company rewards. You can run Feedback Friday with no coins at all: it is on the Free plan, and coins and rewards are on the Pro plan.
Is it difficult to set up Feedback Friday?
No, setup takes about two minutes. Matter installs from the Slack or Microsoft Teams marketplace, pulls your members from the workspace, and you pick the channel, the day and the frequency. Whether your workspace lets members install apps themselves or requires an admin to approve the request is usually what decides how fast you start.
Can people outside of our company participate?
Yes. Matter takes its members from your Slack or Teams workspace, so anyone in that workspace can give and receive recognition, including guests and contractors your workspace already includes. People outside your workspace, like customers, patients, and visitors, can thank your team with a recognition QR code, and a reviewer approves each note before it posts.
What’s the minimum company size that is able to sign up?
There is no minimum. The Free plan covers unlimited users, so a team of three can run kudos and Feedback Friday at no cost. Paid plans start at $1 per user per month billed annually, with a 14-day free trial and no credit card required.
