Hi there. Sam from Matter here. And in this video, I'm gonna show you how you can drive action with customizable challenges that align with your goals, reinforce company culture, and reward behaviors that move your people forward. More specifically, we're gonna walk through creating a challenge, sharing that challenge in Slack, approving and denying claims, and lastly, looking at reporting. To create a challenge, we're gonna be inside the web app here. We're gonna go to admin, Awards Manager, and Challenges. In here, you can view challenge claims, manage challenges, and create a challenge. Please note you will see some default challenges in your account.
They simply serve as inspiration for when creating challenges, or you can use them. For the sake of this demo, I have a drafted challenge, but you're gonna wanna hit Create Challenge. This will open up the challenge builder where you can add in a challenge name, a description, an award image, and then, optionally, and recommended coins for successful claims. Next, we're gonna configure some of the details, such as claim evidence, where users can submit a file with their challenge claim.
You can control how many successful claims are available in total, the max number of successful claims per user, and then you can assign award managers who can approve and deny claims. Please note, award managers do not need to be a Matter admin. And lastly, award managers can get notified of new claims directly in Slack. As for scheduling, you can start now and never end, or you can specify a start and end date.
View all the challenge award details and click Save Challenge. You'll see that the challenge has moved to an active state. Next, we're gonna go ahead and look at sharing the challenge inside of Slack. So you will get a red dot notification from Matter, and it'll state that your new challenge is live. You can view the challenge back in the web app, or you can Share Challenge. This will open up a modal with a templated message, including some variables related to the challenge itself, such as the challenge name, description, coin amount, etcetera. Go ahead and configure the message. And when you're ready, click send.
That challenge will then be shared directly inside of the channel for everybody to see and view the challenge. For somebody to claim a challenge, they can click View Challenge, and then it'll take them directly into the challenges here in the web app where they can find the challenge and click claim. Next, they'll go ahead and submit evidence of that claim as well as a message explaining how they completed the challenge. They can simply hit claim, and that claim is gonna be sent directly in Slack to that awards manager.
They'll get the red dot notification, and they'll see that new claim along with the explanation and proof. They can approve or decline the claim. If they decline the claim, please note they will need to add in a reason why. Let's say we click approve. The coins will be awarded to the person who claimed it, and that's it. And lastly, we're gonna go back into the web app and look at reporting under Awards Manager, reports. Here, you can filter by user group or segment, do a custom date range, and Download Report in the upper right. Looking at a sample report right here, here's what you can expect to see.
You can expect to see, in the first tab here, a challenges report showing you all of the challenges, including both active and inactive. And then you can look at all of the claims here as well, including details of who submitted the claim, the status, the explanation, coin reward, who reviewed it, and if there were any denial reasons as well. Great. So that's challenges with Matter. If you have any questions, feel free to message us at hello@matterapp.com, and we'd be more than happy to help. Thanks, and bye for now.
