Hi there. Sam from Matter here. And in this video, I'm gonna show you how you can drive action with customizable challenges that align with your goals, reinforce company culture, and reward behaviors that move your people forward. More specifically, we're gonna walk through creating a challenge, sharing that challenge inside of Microsoft Teams, approving and declining claims, and lastly, looking at reporting.

Great. So to get started, we're gonna be inside of the web app, and we're gonna go to admin, Awards Manager, and Challenges. Inside of the Awards Manager, you're gonna be able to see challenge claims and manage your challenges as well. Please note, you will see some default challenges already added to your account. This is just simply for inspiration for you for when creating challenges. For the sake of this video, I'm gonna use an existing challenge. But to create a new one, you're gonna wanna click Create Challenge. That's gonna take you directly into the challenge builder.

In the first part, you can add in details such as the challenge name, the description, an award image, and lastly, optionally and recommended coins for rewards. Next, you can configure some of the details, such as requiring claim evidence, such as a PDF or an image. You can specify the successful claims available in total, either unlimited or limited. You can specify the maximum number of claims per user, either unlimited or limited.

You can assign award managers. These are the individuals who can approve and deny claims. Please note, award managers do not need to be a Matter admin. And lastly, you can have award managers get notified of new claims directly in Teams. Next, go ahead and schedule your challenge. You can start now or never end, or you can start at a specific time and end on a specific time. Lastly, you're gonna see all of the challenge award details as a wrap up. And and when you're ready, go ahead and click Save Challenge.

Your challenge, if starting now, will be launched, and you can see that by it being active. Great. So that's creating a challenge. Pretty simple. Next, we're gonna look at sharing out the challenge inside of Microsoft Teams. So I'm gonna jump into Teams here. And when your challenge is live, you're gonna get a direct message from Matter saying, hey. Your new challenge is live. Go ahead and share it out. So we'll click that Share Challenge. Next, you'll be able to see a preloaded message to share out within the channel. You'll see some variables such as challenge name, challenge image, description, etcetera.

Go ahead and customize to your preference. And when you're ready, go ahead and click send. This will send that message directly in the channel, and we can go ahead and jump into that channel and see that message sent. Everybody's gonna be able to see that new challenge. And if they wanna make a claim, they can click View Challenge, and that'll take them directly into the challenges here. And so if I wanna make a claim, it's really simple. Click claim. I can go ahead and explain how I completed this challenge, and, also, I can upload evidence here as well.

When the evidence and everything's uploaded, go ahead and click claim. And that's it. I've submitted a claim for that challenge. As for approving and denying claims, award managers are gonna be notified both in the web app as well as in Teams. They're gonna get a direct message from Matter saying, hey. You have a new claim challenge, along with all the details and the proof of that challenge. They can either approve or decline the claim. Please note if they choose to decline, they will be required to give a reason as to why.

If they click claim, pretty simple. If there's a coin reward, it'll be automatically delivered to that individual. So that's approving and declining claims. Lastly, we're gonna look at reporting for challenges. So back in the web app, admin, Awards Manager, reports, here is where I can filter by user groups or segments. I can create my own custom date range here. And when I'm ready, click Download Report. This is gonna go ahead and download an Excel file, two sheets in here.

You can have all your challenges, including active and inactive, and also a list of all of the challenge claims, including the challenger, their explanation, the status, evidence, who reviewed it, and if there's any claim denial reason. So that's pretty much challenges with Matter. If you have any questions, feel free to message us at hello@matterapp.com, and we'd be more than happy to help. Thanks, and bye for now.
