Hi there, Sam from Matter here. And in this video, I'm gonna show you how you can 10x your response rate with custom surveys, all inside Slack. More specifically, we're gonna walk through the survey builder, look at the survey itself inside Slack, and lastly, the results. Great, so we're gonna start inside the web app here. We're gonna go into the Surveys tab and hit New Survey. That's gonna go ahead and open up the survey builder. First, we can enter in a title for the survey, a description as well, and select the anonymity option. Either we can have the survey be anonymous or attributed.

Next, we go ahead and build the survey. We offer multiple question types such as text-based, multiple choice, which is fun with emojis, agree-disagree scale, and then also the eNPS question as well. You can make questions required and enable comments here as well. Next is the audience. You can select who the survey is coming from and who are the recipients. You can also send automatic smart reminders to individuals who haven't completed the survey. In terms of scheduling and deliverability, it's really simple. You can send now, you can send out a certain date and time.

If you don't have a repeating frequency, you can select closing options such as closing on a certain date, or waiting to 100% participation. If you'd like to select a certain repeating frequency, you can do that in here as well. You can select how often that frequency occur, and certain days of the week as well. Lastly is the wrap-up. So, you can go ahead and enable rewards and coins for survey completions. We've seen this to increase participation rates by over 35% when coins are offered. Additionally, you can get notified of real-time feedback inside of Slack, look at your survey details, and then when you're ready, you can hit Launch Survey. If you're not ready, you can go hit Preview in Slack.

So, team members, when that survey is launched, will get notified directly in Slack by MatterBot. They'll be under Apps, under MatterBot, in the message tab here. So you can see an example here. The title of the survey, the description, if there's a coin reward, who it's from, and it'll state if it's anonymous or attributed. So to open up that survey, we can go ahead and leave our feedback right in that survey here as well. And if you have comments enabled, you'll see that there as well. Great, we can go ahead and send. It's that simple.

Now, if we'd like to dive deeper into the details of that results, we're going to go back into the web app here, and we're going to click into the survey here. We're going to see high level stats around the survey, and then we can see a breakdown of response types either as a summary with a breakdown of all the responses per question, or we can look at as an individual perspective here as well. Additionally, if you'd like to export and share this data with anybody else, you can simply hit Download Report, and you'll receive an Excel file that will have all of the survey responses broken down in multiple different ways.

So that's pretty much custom surveys. If you have any questions, feel free to message us at hello@matterapp.com, and we'd be more than happy to help. Thanks, and bye for now.
