Employee Surveys

Hi there. Sam from Matter here. And in this video, I'm gonna show you how you can 10x your response rate with custom surveys all inside Microsoft Teams. More specifically, we're gonna walk through the survey builder, look at the survey itself inside Teams, and lastly, the results. Great. So we're gonna start inside the web app. We're gonna first go into the Surveys tab and hit New Survey. That'll open up the survey builder where we can add in a title, a description, choose anonymity, whether it be an anonymous survey or an attributed survey.

Next, we can build out the survey with different question types such as text, multiple choice, which is fun with emojis, agree-disagree scale, and the eNPS question type as well. You can make questions required or enable comments as well. Go ahead and select who the survey is coming from, who are the recipients of the survey, and enable smart reminders for people who don't complete the survey. In terms of scheduling, you can send now, send on a specific date and time, and you can also select a repeating frequency.

So there's a weekly, monthly, etcetera. You can select how often that repeats and the days of the week as well. If you don't have a repeating frequency, you can select closing, settings such as close on a certain date or wait until 100% participation. And then the wrap up, you can reward survey completions with coins. We see this to increase participation rates by over 35% when coins are enabled here. You can get notified of real time feedback inside of Teams. And lastly, the survey details. You can preview the survey and and hit Launch as well.

And so when you hit Launch, that survey will be sent directly to people inside of Teams under the chat, under Matter. They're gonna see receive a message. We'll state the title, the description, if there's a coin reward, who it's from, and then if it's anonymous or attributed. Simply hit Start Survey, and then I'll go ahead and open up the survey here. You can again see that it'll be stated at the top here, if it's anonymous or attributed. And then you can go ahead and fill out the survey. You can see the different selection options that we created, also the anonymous, comments there as well. And that's it.

You simply hit send and you can see that you got the coin reward. Now if we wanna go back and view results of that, we can go back into the web app here, again in the Surveys tab, and we can click into that survey. We can see a high level, breakdown of that of that survey response results such as the responses, participation, etcetera. And then you can see a breakdown of the responses, whether it be a summary of each of the response all the responses for specific questions here.

Alternatively, you can segment this by individuals and you can look at individual responses here as well. Now if you'd like to share this results with other people, we'd recommend downloading this Excel report which will give you a breakdown of all the questions and the responses there as well.
