Hi there. Sam from Matter here. And in this video, I'm gonna show you how you can recognize your teammates all inside Slack. More specifically, we're gonna look at kudos recognition, Feedback Friday reminders, and lastly, celebrations. Please note the settings in this video might be different from your actual Matter workspace settings. Your admin will configure your settings based on your recognition program. So something might look different, such as having kudos types for company values. Great.

So let's look at kudos first and recognizing your teammate. Inside the Matter-connected Slack channel is where you can give kudos. Simply click the button, go ahead and select one or more people to recognize. Select the kudos type. This is the actual card the message is delivered on. Type in your message to praise, use Slack emojis to make it more fun, and then you can send it publicly or potentially privately through the direct message. And that's it. Go ahead and leave emoji reactions, thread replies, just like any other Slack message.

To help encourage you to give kudos, Matter's gonna have a dedicated day called Feedback Friday. These are just a few reminders helping you to take a moment out of your busy day to recognize a teammate who shined bright, all with a fun recap showing everybody who's participated throughout the entire week. Please note, you don't have to wait until Friday to give kudos. You can give kudos at any time in the moment.

Lastly, we're gonna look at birthday and work anniversary celebrations. So at this point, either your Matter admin has uploaded the dates for you, or you might be getting a direct message from Matter in Slack to go ahead and fill in the date. If you get a direct message from Matter, that message is self-serve optional. So if you wanna participate, add in the dates. If not, don't do anything. Please note, if the celebration date happens to be on a weekend, we'll probably celebrate you on the previous Friday during the work week. And at any time, you can opt out of these notifications. Simply go into Apps, go into MatterBot, and then in the Home tab, you'll see the Go to Matter Dashboard.

Click on this button. It'll take you directly into the web app. Under your account settings is here where you can choose how you'd like to be recognized. You can be celebrated publicly in the channel or privately through a direct message or not at all. And that's pretty much celebrations with Matter.
