Hi there, Sam from Matter here, and in this video, I'm going to show you how you can recognize your teammates inside Teams. More specifically, we're going to walk through kudos recognition, Feedback Friday reminders, coins and rewards, and celebrations. Please note, some of the settings in this training video might be different from your actual workspace settings. We're going to use the default settings for the sake of this video.

So, we're first off going to look at recognizing with kudos, like the ones you see here. It's really easy. Click the Give Kudos button. Go ahead and select one or more people to recognize. Select the kudos type. This is the actual card the message is delivered on. Type in your message of praise, use emojis, add on coins for rewards, and click send. It's that simple. The kudos is sent in real time. Emoji reactions, replies, and you can pile on coins to existing kudos as well. To help encourage you to give kudos, Matter is going to have a dedicated day. We call it Feedback Friday.

Feedback Friday is just a day to recognize and encourage you to give kudos. There's a few reminders throughout the day, and at the end of the day, there is a fun recap showing everybody who's participated throughout the entire week. Please note, you don't have to wait until Friday to give kudos. You can do it anytime in the moment, and it'll count towards this recap. Next, we're going to talk about coins and rewards. I'm going to go to the app home on the sidebar here, and in here is where you can see your coins and rewards. So please note, 10 coins is equivalent to 1 US dollar for gift cards. So at this point, you may have been assigned a coin allowance to add on the kudos to give away.

By default, this allowance resets weekly, so make sure to recognize your teammate. So those are coins you give away. Coins you earn do not, do not expire. You can click Redeem Reward, and it'll take you into our rewards store. You can select from gift cards or donations, prepaid Visa and Mastercards, monetary options like PayPal, Venmo, or if your company's added in custom rewards, you can see them here as well. Otherwise, it's really simple. Go into the reward store, select a reward, and make a request. Upon admin approval of the request, you'll get notified in Teams, and you'll also get an email with the reward and redemption instructions if approved.

Lastly, we're gonna go ahead and talk about birthdays and work anniversaries. So at this point, your admin may have uploaded the dates for you, or you might be getting a direct message from Matter to fill in your special day. If you get a direct message from Matter, please note it is optional to fill in your date. So if you don't want to participate, you don't have to add in the date. At any time, if you want to change the dates or how you want to be celebrated, you can do that in the account settings in the web app. And if the date happens again a weekend, you might be celebrated on the previous Friday, as well as admins are able to add on coins for your special day as well.
