Hi there. Sam from Matter here. And in this video, I'm gonna show you how you can welcome new hires with automated onboarding surveys. More specifically, we're gonna look at creating and configuring the surveys, setting the surveys directly inside Microsoft Teams, and lastly, looking at the results. Great. So we're gonna start inside of the web app underneath the Surveys Manager and Onboarding Surveys. In here is where you're gonna see your survey library. These are the surveys that are delivered to new hires.

You'll see four default surveys. We've already done the hard work and research for you. These surveys are ready to go. Simply click Enable and activate them. Additionally, you can edit them as you see fit or create your own new survey. Let's jump into the survey itself. We'll click on a survey and then click Edit. In here is where you can add or see the survey title, a description, and the send timing.

This is the number of days after the hire date in which the survey will be sent. Next is the actual survey questions. You can make questions required, enable comments. We'd recommend using the question type agree-disagree. This allows us to create and have a numerical score, which is great for your onboarding effectiveness score. And then at the end, you can review your survey details and click save survey when you're ready to go. Additionally, you can configure onboarding survey settings in the upper right by clicking the settings button here. And then you can configure the survey anonymity such as anonymous or attributed.

You can opt to send surveys via email as well, automatically send reminders to those who don't complete it. You can get notified of new responses inside of Teams and select who gets notified. And lastly and highly recommended, reward for survey completions. Great. So when you're happy with your settings here and you're happy with the survey, we'd recommend enabling the survey to an active state. Great. So let's go ahead and take a look at what a survey looks like. We're gonna go ahead and just preview one of the surveys.

And then for the surveys, people are gonna get notified directly by Matter inside of Microsoft Teams. They're gonna see the title, the description, if there's a coin reward, and then the anonymity, whether it be anonymous or attributed attributed excuse me. Whether it be anonymous or attributed. When they're ready, click Start Survey, and that'll open the survey itself. Again, they're gonna see that anonymity clause right at the top and then the survey questions. Team members can go ahead and fill out those survey questions. And then when they're ready, they simply click send, and they'll get their coin reward. Hopping back into the web app, we're gonna lastly take a look at the results of the surveys.

So we can either view the results by an individual survey level. And we also have an effectiveness score for overall surveys as well as a completion rate. If you wanna look at the completion rate and the effectiveness score for individual surveys, you can definitely do that. Click the respective view date view details button in the upper right. And then let's say if we wanna dive in deeper into the individual survey, we can click on that survey and click View Results. At the top, you can filter by user groups or segments. You can also filter by date range, such as a custom date range. And then you can view the responses, either at a summary of responses per question itself, or you can look at an individual and their respective responses as well.

And of course, you can download all of this raw data in our Excel report here. And in this Excel report, you are gonna have two different sheets. You're gonna have one with the overall survey stats as well as a breakdown of each individual survey respondent and their responses. So that's pretty much onboarding surveys with Matter. If you have any questions, feel free to message us at hello@matterapp.com, and we'd be more than happy to help. Thanks for watching, and bye for now.
