Hi there, Sam from Matter here, and in this video, I'm gonna show you how you can grow professionally with performance feedback. More specifically, we provide the ability to have one-to-one private feedback based on skills. These skills you can customize inside of the web app. Simply go to Feedback, go to Skills, and then you can add a skill. You can either select from one of our 30 recommended skills that cover a wide variety of job types and functions, or create your own custom skill. Name, description, fun badge color, and hit Create. Now there's two ways to give and receive feedback on these skills. One is real time inside of Slack.

We're gonna go into Slack here, and in your Matter-connected Slack channel, you can... In the overflow button, you can see the Give and Request Feedback button. Alternatively, if we go into Apps, MatterBot, and in our Home tab, we can also see the Give and Request Feedback buttons as well. This is more real time feedback. So let's say after a meeting, I wanna give somebody feedback, I can click Give Feedback.

I can select that person. I can select what skill I wanna give feedback on. I can see what skills they have selected as well as some additional skills that they might not have selected. I can go ahead and type in a message, optionally add on coins, and hit send. That feedback will be directly sent to that user. Alternatively, instead of giving feedback, I can also request feedback. Simply click the Request Feedback button, select who I'd like to receive feedback from, select what skills I'd like to receive feedback on, and then type in a message and hit send. That simple.

So it's more real time inside of Slack. Additionally, you can create continuous feedback surveys. Go into your Continuous tab under Feedback and create a continuous feedback request. Click the plus button here at the top. Go ahead and select somebody who you'd like to receive feedback from. Select how often you'd like to receive feedback. Select what skills pertains to the relationship of what you'd like to get feedback on. Personalize your message, and hit save.

It's that simple. Now what's gonna happen is based on that time period, that person is gonna get a message in Slack requesting to give you feedback. They can click on that message, and it'll open up the continuous feedback survey. So first part of that survey, does this person and I work together? Yes, no, or it's complicated, and we'll select that option because it makes me smile. Now we'll go ahead and it's gonna go through each skill. First part of that skill is a numerical ranking from one to five. As we hover over each value, there's a little prompt below that changes, just helping team members be on the same page about what's a two versus a five.

Next, we can select three building blocks that this person can do to start growing on in this skill. And lastly, we can leave written feedback diving into the details of this skill. If we like, we can go ahead and simply hit Skip. And then at the end, we're gonna end the feedback on a high note, selecting three of the best qualities that come to mind when we think of that individual. Submit that feedback, and that's it. We can go ahead and jump back into Matter and view any feedback that people leave us by going back into that Skills tab here. Going into the feedback that's been left, we can see the scores. We can also see the details of feedback, including the numerical value, the written, and those building blocks as well.

We can thank them, leave comments, etcetera. So that's pretty much performance feedback with Matter. If you have any questions, feel free to message us at hello@matterapp.com, and we'd be more than happy to help. Thanks, and bye for now.
