Hi there, Sam from Matter here, and in this video, I'm going to show you how you can grow professionally with performance feedback. More specifically, we offer one-to-one private feedback based on actionable skills. We're first going to look at adding skills that you'd like to grow on, either professionally or personally, as well as looking at ways to give and receive feedback based on these skills. So, we're going to start inside of the web dashboard here, and we're going to go into the Feedback, go into our Skills tab, and I can go ahead and add skills that are specific to me.

I can click Add Skill. I can select from a list of 30 recommended skills here, covering a wide variety of job types and functions, or I can create my own custom skill: name, description, fun badge color, and hit Create. So these are skills that I will give and request feedback on. Two ways to do that. One is going to be real time inside of Microsoft Teams. So let's go over to Microsoft Teams here. We're going to be in the Teams channel, and either in this overflow button we can click, we'll see the option to give and request feedback. Alternatively, we can go to the Matter tab here at the top.

And inside the tab, you're going to see the Performance section. You can click Give Feedback or Request Feedback. Let's say, for example, I just had a meeting with somebody, and I want to give them feedback. I can select who to give feedback to. I can go ahead and select a skill that I'd like to give feedback on, type in a message, optionally add on coins, and click Give Feedback. Vice versa, let's say I want to give feedback on a recent meeting that we had. I can select the person I want to receive feedback, select what skills I want to get feedback on, type in a message, and hit Request Feedback. So the person who either received the feedback or was requested to leave feedback will receive a direct notification from Matter in Teams to go ahead and either view that feedback or give private feedback.

So that's giving feedback more real time inside of Teams. The other option is a continuous feedback survey. Go back into the web dashboard, go to Feedback, go to Continuous, and here's where you can create a continuous feedback relationship. So you simply click the plus button. You select a team member you want to get feedback from. Let's say if I want to get feedback from Brett, and I want to get feedback, let's say, every month, and then you can select what skills pertain to the relationship. So let's say if I just want to get feedback on these four skills, I can personalize a message and click Save. So what's gonna happen every month?

Brett's gonna get a notification to leave me feedback. He'll get notified in Teams with a direct message, and that message will open up a feedback survey. This is what it would look like as if Brett requested feedback from me. So the first part of this, does this person I work together? Yes, no, or it's complicated, and that option always makes you smile, so we're going to select that one. Now it's going to go through each skill requested feedback on. The first part is giving a numerical value on that, on that skill, and so you can see, as I hover over each value, there's a little prompt below that changes, just helping people be on the same page about what's a two versus a five. Next, you can select up to three building blocks that somebody can do to start growing on in this skill.

And lastly, you can leave a written feedback, diving into the details of that feedback on that skill. The process is gonna be the same for the rest of skills. You can simply hit Skip if you'd like. And then at the end, we're gonna select three of the best qualities that come to mind when we think of that individual, ending that feedback on a high note. Hit Submit Feedback, and that's it, right? So the feedback will be sent. And what's great about all this feedback is it's always gonna live inside of your Skills tab here. So let's say if I wanna see feedback on my leadership, I can click View Feedback, I can view my scores, I can open up and extend and expand the details of this feedback, seeing where I need to improve, I can thank them, leave comments, etcetera.

Great, so that's pretty much performance feedback with Matter. If you have any questions, feel free to message us at hello@matterapp.com. We'd be more than happy to help. Thanks, and bye for now.
