After setting up your HRIS integration, Matter can automatically sync BambooHR data into Matter, and admins can manage the integration from the HRIS configuration page. Matter also supports actions like 24-hour automatic syncing, starting a sync immediately, viewing sync history, reconnecting the HRIS, and disconnecting it when needed.
Matter helps teams use BambooHR data to reduce manual work and make employee experience programs more accurate. Matter treats synced HRIS fields as the source of truth for standard data like date of birth, direct manager, ethnicity, gender, hire date, and job title. Teams can also extend that data with Member Properties to support better filtering, reporting, and personalization across Matter.

Set up your HRIS integration from the Matter web app by going to Settings, opening HRIS Integration, selecting Sign In to HRIS, and following the guided setup flow. HRIS integration requires a paid Matter plan, and the initial sync may take a few minutes depending on data volume. Matter is also listed on BambooHR Marketplace.
Matter’s HRIS integration can sync standard employee fields such as hire date, date of birth, gender, job title, manager, and other core profile data into Matter.
