Personio employee data can sync into Matter to help streamline profile management, reduce manual updates, and support more accurate recognition, rewards, and survey programs.
After setup, Matter automatically syncs with your HRIS, and later syncs run every 24 hours to keep data current. Admins can also use Matter to set up your HRIS integration and manage actions like starting a sync immediately, viewing sync history, reconnecting the HRIS, or disconnecting it when needed.
Matter helps teams use Personio data to reduce manual work and make employee experience programs more accurate. Synced HRIS fields can serve as the source of truth for employee details, and Member Properties help teams personalize, filter, and report more effectively across Matter.

Teams can set up your HRIS integration from the Matter web app by going to Settings, opening HRIS Integration, selecting Sign In to HRIS, and following the guided setup flow. HRIS integration requires a paid Matter plan, and the initial sync may take a few minutes depending on data volume. Admins can later configure your HRIS integration from the HRIS settings page.
Matter's HRIS integration can sync standard employee fields such as date of birth, direct manager, ethnicity, gender, hire date, and job title into Matter. Teams can also use Member Properties to organize additional synced HRIS data and map custom fields for filtering, reporting, and personalization. Yes. Teams can use synced HRIS data to create Member Groups and Member Segments based on employee properties. Groups can mirror org structure and manager visibility, while segments can use property-based rules to filter recognition, rewards, survey data, and analytics. Segments update automatically every 24 hours, which helps keep reporting and targeting current as employee data changes.
